Community Relations & Civic Accountability
The Good Neighbor Desk
Second Chance Homes is committed to being a quiet, respectful, and reliable asset in every residential neighborhood we share. We maintain high standards of property care, 24/7 staff oversight, and direct leadership access.
Our Commitments to Our Residential Neighbors
Our young adult residents are learning the responsibilities of independent adulthood. That begins with respecting our neighbors, caring for our shared street, and adhering to strict community standards.
Curbside & Yard Maintenance
Weekly professional landscaping and daily grounds inspection. Trash and recycling bins are pulled out on service days and promptly stowed away from street view.
Strict Parking Regulations
Driveways and on-property parking are utilized first. Residents and visiting case managers are strictly prohibited from blocking neighbor driveways, fire hydrants, or mailboxes.
Residential Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are observed strictly from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weeknights. Loud music, revving engines, or unruly behavior are violations of our occupancy agreements.
Zero Drug & Weapon Tolerance
All Second Chance Homes are alcohol-free, drug-free, and weapon-free properties under California Community Care Licensing standards.
24/7 Direct Staff Accountability
A real human supervisor is available 24/7. Neighbors never have to deal with automated phone trees or bureaucracy when they have a question or concern.
HSC § 1566.3 Compliance
Small residential care homes serving 6 or fewer residents are legally designated residential uses under California state law, subject to uniform civil and building standards.
